Noma Kanjani Organic Farming

Noma Kanjani was established in 2008
following a deep desire of the late Craig Black to return to farming. He, together with his wife and three children, purchased the farm outside Bapsfontein, Gauteng. They moved lock, stock and barrel to the farm (along with the engineering business that had been their sole source of income since 2001).
Initially, only teff was grown to feed the fast–growing herds and flocks of cattle and sheep. After a couple of years, an opportunity presented itself to start growing organic vegetable trials under the tutorship of a friend and neighbour. As confidence grew, so did the crops, and soon Noma Kanjani became a well-known name on the Johannesburg Fresh Produce Market floor).
